I had a magnificent July 4th weekend visiting with my brother and his family and with my friend Barbara.  The Kane County Cougars organization did allow us to scope out the stadium way before game time which is always a delightful and educational experience.  We toured the concourse and seating areas to check out the food, drink, and seating options.

We were only able to get seats beyond the right field wall on the outfield deck (known as the Leinie Lodge) as it was July 4 and all the infield seats had already been purchased by other fans.  We claimed a picnic table (with an umbrella) in that area and enjoyed visiting with each other while attempting to watch a ballgame.

Here's the view from our seats on the Leinie Lodge looking into the stadium.  It was packed this game. An impressive fireworks display was shot off after the end of the game.

MVP.

Behind the right field seating area there is the Kid Zone with bouncy houses, moon walk, batting cages, speed pitch, and other games in which youngsters can participate.

This was new to me but I understand they are popping up across several ballparks in North America.  It's one gigantic refrigerator.  Inside are shelves full of different craft beers in bottles.  The attendant knows the beer.  You can say, "I like IPA (or Amber or Pilsner, etc.)," and she'll recommend a few.

We got treated to a beautiful sunset.
